Welcome to Teen Kitchen Project

Our teen program offers an excellent opportunity for growth & team building while developing valuable hands-on skills. Together we will prepare meals that are delivered to those in our community who are living with life-threatening illness. People receiving the meals benefit from the support and love provided by nutritious meals you prepare.

A Teen Kitchen Project Teen:

1. Works as part of a unified team.
2. Takes responsibility.
3. Keeps their energy positive and enthusiastic.
4. Honors commitments.
5. Is caring and welcoming to all.
6. Puts passion and love into the food.
7. Looks for what is needed and does it!

Teen Kitchen Project cooks on Mondays and Tuesdays at 2880 Research Park Drive Soquel and on Wednesdays at 412 East Riverside Drive in Watsonville.

If you are new, you will be asked to get your Food Handlers Card before you start in the kitchen.  This is an online course you can take at home.  Print the card and bring to kitchen on your first day, along with the completed Emergency Medical Release and Photo Permission forms, found below. New teens must commit to spending 8 consecutive weeks in the kitchen. To Volunteer at Teen Kitchen Project, teens must be between 13-19 years old.

SOQUEL ONLY:  Teens arrive any time between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., as our kitchen usually finishes around 7:00 p.m.

WATSONVILLE ONLY: Teens  arrive by 2:00 p.m. and we finish by 6:00 p.m. Our Teen Kitchen Project van picks up at PV High at 1:30 p.m. in the horseshoe where the busses pick up.

Register for our teen program HERE .  We will send a welcome letter with more information on getting started.
